Collections: We will be closed for browsing but our doors will be open for you to pay and collect – all at a safe distance of course. Prefer us to deliver to your car? Just pull up at either end of Cheap Street and give us a call. Payment can be taken over the phone and we will drop your items to your car.
We are also offering the following delivery options:
Free Local Home Delivery: Available within Frome and to outlying villages within a couple of miles of town. If books are in stock you can typically expect same day delivery or next day delivery for items ordered in overnight.
Postal Delivery: We are able to post books to any location in the UK (and to many places overseas). If it’s in stock we will post directly from the store. If not, we will send items direct from our suppliers. For postal delivery of multiple items, we will always offer you the cheapest option first.
Order Online: we are piloting a new online sales platform through our website. Books can be posted to you or collected from store. If you are ordering for collection from Frome please make sure you use the comment function to notify us of this, as our Sherborne sister shop is currently set as the default collection location. About us: Situated on beautiful medieval Cheap Street (the one with the leat running down it), Hunting Raven is Frome’s much-loved and long-standing independent bookshop.
With over 9,000 fiction and non-fiction titles in stock, and access to a further 500,000 on next-day delivery, we really do have something for everyone. We also stock a wide range of gifts, cards, stationery, games and children’s activities.
In normal times, we offer a full programme of events, from author talks and signings, to our unique Proof Pudding Club – a pre-publication review club (that involves eating cake).
